Request A QuoteThe Ford E-Series, also known as the Econoline, was introduced in 1961. It is a full-size van for cargo and passenger use. The first Generation had a cab-over design, subsequent Generations had a more conventional layout.
The second generation launched in 1968, after which the third generation in 1975 which came up with a new chassis. The fourth generation was introduced in 1992 with major design and functionality updates.
In 2008 the E-Series got a major update, safety, and performance. Although discontinued for retail in 2014 the E-Series is still popular for commercial use and still in production for fleet customers.

First Generation (1961-1967)
- E-100: Cab-over design, 144 cu in (2.4 L) inline-six. Later 170 cu in (2.8 L) engine.
- E-200: Same as E-100 but with heavier-duty suspension and frame.
Second Generation (1968-1974)
- E-100: Front engine design. Engines 240 cu in (3.9 L) inline-six to 302 cu in (4.9 L) V8.
- E-200 and E-300: For higher payload, same engine options.
Third Generation (1975-1991)
- E-150: Replaced E-100. 300 cu in (4.9 L) inline-six and 351 cu in (5.8 L) V8 engine options.
- E-250 and E-350: Heavy-duty versions with the same engine options plus 6.9 L IDI V8 diesel.
Fourth Generation (1992-2007)
- E-150: New exterior and interior designs. 4.2 L V6, 4.6 L V8 and 5.4 L V8 engines.
- E-250 and E-350: More powerful engines, 7.3 L Power Stroke V8 diesel introduced in 1995.
Fifth Generation (2008-Present)
- E-150: Safety features and modern design. 4.6 L V8 and 5.4 L V8 engines.
- E-250 and E-350: Advanced technology and engine options, 6.8 L V10 and 6.0 L Power Stroke V8 diesel.
